Haystack Farmstead is proud to offer 100% grass-fed beef bred and raised on their farm in Pawlet, Vermont.
From May to October, Haystack's herd of Angus-Wagyu cattle grazes on managed pasture, moving to a new, lush paddock every day. During the winter months, they feed high-quality forages that keep our animals happy and healthy. The result is a grass-fed beef of uncompromising quality and nutrition from strikingly vibrant and healthy stock. We are delighted to share it with you.
By submitting this deposit, you are purchasing a live animal in Haystack's herd. We will process and butcher your beef at Higley Hill Processing in Wilmington, Vermont in accordance with Vermont's Custom Exemption.
You will receive between 300 and 350 pounds of beef of various cuts: steaks, ground, roasts, etc. Upon delivery, you will receive an invoice for $12/lb for the final butchered weight of the animal, minus this $600 deposit. (So, the full approximate cost will be $4,200.)
If you would like to split this order into shares, you may do so as long as all owners of the animal sign Vermont's Certificate of Ownership before the animal's slaughter date--which we can provide. If this is your preferred method of purchase, we ask you to kindly divide up the shares and cost-sharing on your own.
