We are proud to offer you our 100% grass-fed Katahdin lamb.
The Katahdin sheep is a hair breed developed in Maine to be hardy and gentle animals that produce incredibly delicious meat. We raise, breed, and manage our flock of 200-ish sheep here on our family farm, where they graze the pastures during the growing season and romp through the winter paddocks during breeding and lambing season.
We manage our flock holistically to ensure our farming system benefits the sheep, the ecosystem, the local economy, the shepherds, and the wildlife. Using holistic management, we’ve been able to regenerate and strengthen the natural processes (water, mineral, biodiversity, and energy flow) in the land and restore resilient abundance to our environment.
Ordering lamb from Studio Hill not only provides your family with the cleanest, most-nutritious, most-delicious meat available, but it also contributes directly to the regeneration of an ecosystem, the sequestration of carbon, rebuilding our top soils and other natural resources, and cleaning our region’s water.
